What is the U3A?
The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a network of local associations providing social, cultural and learning opportunities for retired and semi-retired people at minimal cost. There are over 800 U3As supported by a national organisation, the Third Age Trust.

Members can join as many interest groups as they wish, as long as there are available spaces. New groups can start once we have a coordinator. There is a small charge for group meetings to cover costs.

What does it cost?
Annual membership of Howden & District U3A is £10. This entitles you to attend eleven monthly meetings a year, join unlimited interest groups and special events, receive a monthly newsletter and 5 issues of Third Age Matters magazine.
To cover costs there is a small additional charge for each monthly meeting and a small, variable, charge for each interest group meeting.

Come to the monthly meeting at the Shire Hall, Howden on the last Thursday of the month.
